From Socket Communications comes a bar code scanner
that can turn any device into a fully-functional bar code
scanning device. Once the scanner is inserted, the
PDA functions in exactly the same manner as a dedicated
scanner.

1/1/2007 - Socket has released a new version of
their popular scanner, one that uses a Laser instead of CCD technology.
This unit has
greater scan accuracy (1st time read rate), better
performance in low-light conditions, and longer-range
scans. It is currently available, and
the price is $395.00. This unit is 100%
compatible with all the Trakker products. It is
somewhat limited in availability due to demand and we do
not yet have it set up for Web ordering; if you would
